Cool In The Pool with Cheery Lynn Designs

Happy Thursday!!
I have another layout to share with you featuring fabulous Cheery Lynn Designs dies.

To make this layout I did a little bit of layering and then I embellished away with a great border die like the Embossed Scalloped Hearts border. And if you know me at all, you know I HAVE to include lots of flowers. My dies of choice this time are the Judy's Blooms, Tropical Flower and the Darling Daisies.

Other dies used:
Never Ending Love Hearts
Buttons3
License Plate
Tropical Flourish
Pennant Die
French Flair Nesting Die
Mini Font alphas

The Echo Park papers I used are from the beautiful September Birds Of A Feather kit.

Flip Calendar book from Birds Of A Feather

The September kit at Birds Of A Feather is nothing short of GORGEOUS!!

This kit includes a 7x9 inch chipboard label which screamed at me to make some sort of altered book. The kit also has a piece of Crate Paper's "Portrait" patterned papers that has a mini calendar sheet printed on it. I cut those little calendars out and made my own little 2012 flip calendar. All of the other papers are Echo Park.

INSIDE

I attached the calendar sheets with a few brads so I can easily remove that month's sheet as time goes by.

Buckets Of Fun with CDL

I know everyone is getting ready for the new school season and some of you can't wait until the weather cools off a little. Well, technically it is still summer so I made a fun page of my son cooling off in the backyard.

Cheery Lynn Designs is having a sale on some of their cute, older dies so make sure you take advantage of that steal! I bought this fun little sunshine die from the sale items and I think he is just the cutest!

I gave my clouds a little bit of texture using the burlap embossing plate.

More dies used:
Luggage Tag
Buttons3
Basic Optimistic alphabet dies
Ribbon Eyelet Border

Like the paper? Its Best Creation!

Well howdy y'all!

Howdy! I know, I know...two cowboy layouts in one week. What can I say?... it happens when their grandma has horses and the boys wish they were cowboys.
This time the layout includes plenty of fabulous Cheery Lynn Designs dies.

I discovered a fun way to use the new Dotties Ric Rac die. I simply cut out two pieces and twisted them together. It looks like rope, which is perfect for my cowboy theme.

I used this week's Scrappiest sketch (sketch 131) for my design inspiration.

More great dies used:
Circles Nesting Dies
Darling Daisies
Grass Border
Buttons3
Picket Fence

FYI Cheery Lynn Designs is having an awesome sale right now on their older dies. I'm talking dies for as low as $2.00 each! You can bet that I stocked up!

The Grumpy Cowgirl

Hi! I wanted to share another layout using the August kit from Birds Of A Feather. I used sketch 117 for my inspiration. :)

I used one of my thin metal dies from Cheery Lynn Designs to make this cool effect in the background of my cardstock. I simply placed the Judy's Bloom die underneath the cardstock and sanded away. I was so surprised at how clear the flower image came through. I love Core'dinations cardstock, the possibilities are endless!

Just a few closeups...

Thanks for visiting, I'll be back tomorrow!
