DH?

Hello and welcome! I have another layout to share with you using my fabulous Cheery Lynn Designs.
I love my 'darling husband'. It's funny because when he saw that the LO of him was titled simply "DH", he asked, "What the heck does DH mean?" Haha! I forget he doesn't know much forum lingo.

I used the new Carnivale Border die to add a little more interest to the edge of my background patterned paper.
The Sunflower dies worked perfect as my main element. These sunflowers are super detailed and so realistic looking, I just love them. To add a little more dimension, I topped each flower with a Dimensional Button.

More fabulous dies used:
Tropical Flourish
Dimensional Small Leaves 2
Pretty Petal
Never Ending Love Heart
Never Ending Love Heart
Basic Optimistic font - alphabet
French Flair Nesting Dies
Heart Chain Border

Sketch 126

After I sent this sketch out to the DT, I was informed that this sketch was a bit of a challenge for a few of them. So here's another brainteaser for you:

This is actually a still picture, nothing is moving at all, only your brain thinks so. Cool, hugh?

Sketch 126

In fact, two of the DT members emailed me and said that this sketch looked like a sail boat so that's what they made on their layout...sailboats. Too funny! I think it is so intriguing what some creative minds see and others don't.
So here are the fabulous sailboat pages first:

Lynette Jacobs
All Wet

Vicky Varvadouka
Gone Fishing

Luzma
Feliz

Kerryn Fry
Starting Early

Brigitte Van Linden
The Sweet Life

Karen Grose
Us

Jennifer Shaw
Vintage Kitty

Are you brave enough to tackle this sketch?
Add your take on this groovy sketch to Mr. Linky below by (we'll say July 1st) since I'm leaving out of town this week anyway. You could win the Best Creation paper packs!
Have a wonderful day!

Family with CDL

Everyone loves to get 2 for 1. Well, Cheery Lynn Designs knows that so many of their new Doilies and Exotic Dies are just that -2 dies for the price of one.
Today I used the "insides" of the Japanese Lace & Flourish Frame. They are just so pretty and perfect for a cluster of flowers on any LO or card.

Here's my layout:

I love finding ways to use the cute little bicycle.

You know I gotta' throw one of the fabulous butterfly dies in there. Cheery Lynn is famous for these. I matted the butterfly with a soft background color before jazzing it up with a pop of red glitter glue.

Here is my list of other great dies used:
Judy's Bloom
Darling Daisies
Dimensional Small Leaves
Never Ending Love
Little Stackers- Circles

Are you a Rock Star?

Best Creation came out with a totally rockin' collection this month called Rock Star. Oh my gosh, I just LOVE it! It's funky with a whole lotta' punk.
The DT was asked to create projects using our favorite songs as titles. I had a blast with this assignment.

Hey Soul Sister by Train

This is my daughter wearing a wig on crazy hair day. I thought about using a Lady Gaga title but I just couldn't bring myself to go there. :)

I Gotta' Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas

These papers are HOT! Check out the Best Creation blog for more ideas from the DT.

Have a scrap-happy day!

Pool Party with BC

Happy Father's Day!!! Before you go off and celebrate your dads and/or husbands, I wanted to tell you that Best Creation has some pretty fun stuff going on. We are playing a little game of Where's Waldo?. You all know those cute books, well this is the scrapbook version. Find Waldo and you could win a huge box of BC goodies! Eeeeek! The details on how to play are on the BC blog.

Helmar is one of Best Creation's fabulous preferred partners and I just love them! The DT got to play with a bunch of their adhesives and all I know is that I'm hooked! No need for any other...ever!

The DT was asked to create a project using the new Splash Fun collection along with a water technique.

How totally cute is this paper?? For my "technique" I simply made water drops using dots of Glossy Accents. It dries perfectly clear and looks just like water.

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Welcome to The World

Hello, hello!
Isn't it fun welcoming a new baby into the world? Curious about what they will really look like when they're older or wondering what kind of effect they will have on the world.
This is my brand new niece, Emarie.
Its no secret I do not like pastel colors, clear and bright is best for me. I was sure to add lots of beautiful flowers for this "baby" page with help from Cherry Lynn Designs dies.

Isn't the sunflower so cute?

To make the butterfly really stand out against the white background I matted it on a red paper. It really makes it show up nicely.

Dies used:
sunflower
butterfly
Basic Optimistic Alphas
Dimensional Buttons3
Pretty Petal
Judy's Blooms
Garden Gate
Never Ending Love Hearts
Tropical Flourish
Dutch Tulip Doily

The papers I used are from Sweet' Peach Crop Shop's main kit (June).

Have a happy Thursday!

Oh, one more thing. On this LO you will find a couple of new Cheery Lynn Designs dies that were just released this week. Click HERE to see the whole new collection. They are GORGEOUS!!
